How we got here
The problem
Six tools, none of them talking to each other
Production runs on tickets. Time tracking runs on Harvest. CRM lives in a spreadsheet. Payroll is a separate vendor. Client review happens over email. Each tool is fine on its own; together they leak hours, miss approvals, and burn account managers chasing status across tabs.
The build
An operating system, not a project tracker
We modeled the actual flow of agency work — ticket → deliverables → studio review → client approval → invoice → payroll — and built one schema that connects all of it. Permissions follow the same shape. Notifications follow the same shape. Reports are just queries against the unified model.
The AI layer
Smart Fill, then Agenie, then write tools
AI got added where it earned its place. Time tracking adoption was the first problem worth solving Smart Fill reads your work logs and drafts the timesheet, you commit it. Agenie answers operations questions from real agency data. Write tools came last, gated by confidence thresholds and audit trails.
